The Prickett’s Creek project is a four bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home on a wooden 5 acre lot in Fairmont, West Virginia. The project developed from the idea of the forest bending over a rectilinear mass to create shelter. The single sloped metal roof achieves the architectural idea by folding the roofs metal down the southern elevation of the home. The metal acts as a blank canvas for nature’s movements and colors to become part of the home.
